Thank you. We really appreciated being able to participate in 2017’s Summit. Congratulations on a great event. Warmest,

The Vision 2030 Summit (2017) was insightful. On day one Mr Chupu Stanley Mathabatha, Premier of Limpopo, was one of the speakers I enjoyed, as his speech centred around good governance. He spoke about the problem of the unaccountability of government officials and how that impedes governing at the local and national level. For me this speech was at the epicentre of the problem, as it illustrated the divide between the people and the government officials designated to govern. Other speakers focused on the relationship between the public and private sector, which is crucial in the understanding of the broader picture. Day two speakers were also insightful; the topics they dealt with were interesting and thought- provoking.

Themba Njilo Foundation

I was delighted to have been considered as a Panelist for the Summit. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and learned quite a lot during the discussions. I will not mind to participate again in the future. On behalf of my team that accompanied me and the Department, once again thank you very much and keep the Vision alive.

Matsietsi Mokholo
Deputy Director-General
Department of Public Enterprises

It was my first time attending the Summit and I enjoyed the level of discussion so much that I am putting my name up to be a speaker again next year. The discussions were very relevant to the environment in the country and assisted with engagement. Great event all in all; absolutely excellent organisation.

I thought Peter Ndoro did a very good job overall. Well done on the event; we should catch up to discuss future events you have in the pipeline; we at ECN run about 10-12 sessions/events a year bringing in senior leaders (business and public sector) on a range of topics, and there may be synergies.

Herman Warren (Vision Awards Judge)
Network Director for Africa

Firstly, I would like to thank you for inviting me – it was my first time at the event and I loved the storyline that you carry – focusing on the positive things taking place in South Africa … Your protocol team was phenomenal. What makes an event exciting is not just the quality of the speaker line-up but also the ambience created by the host – you were a great host.  Thank you.  As I said during my speech, I am a positive South African no matter what. Secondly, I would be more than keen to find a way of working with you in the future.  Our municipalities are working hard under very difficult conditions and I really think that we need to build a positive storyline there as well. Thank you for the invitation once more. Kind Regards.

2017 Summit Presentations

Aims and objectives of the Vision 2030 Summit

Raise awareness and position the NDP as a South African plan and not merely a government plan.

Unpack the NDP into an easy-to-understand, practical document; outlining how government departments, provinces, municipalities, state-owned enterprises and agencies are aligning themselves to it.

Promote and encourage public-private partnership investment opportunities in provincial and local government.

Discover innovations, solutions, plans and initiatives that can help fast-track the realisation
of goals set by the business and investor communities.

Reinforce private and public sector support for and commitment to the NDP.

Take stock of where we are, where we should be, and the way forward for the nation to achieve its NDP objectives.

Six reasons why you need to be there

ENGAGEMENT

Be involved in dynamic discussions to overcome delivery challenges for South Africa’s Nine-Point Plan to fix the economy and support the National Development Plan

NETWORKING

Meet and align with key players in government and business involved in the creation, development and execution of the NDP

BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES

Engage the business community to mobilise private sector participation in government NDP initiatives

INSIGHT
