With the aim being to stimulate conversation around a roadmap for achieving the goals of the National Development Plan (NDP), around 300 decision makers from both the private and public sector came together at the third annual Vision 2030 Summit, to talk about key contributors to alleviating poverty, inequality and joblessness by the year 2030.
The winners of the inaugural Vision 2030 Awards were announced at a prestigious gala event on 22 June 2017, at the Birchwood Hotel in Gauteng, following a successful third Vision 2030 Summit.
This week’s Vision 2030 Summit catalyses new business opportunities for investment, technical cooperation and participation around South Africa’s National Development Plan (NDP).
The NDP is a plan for the whole country. Government needs to engage with all sectors to understand how they are contributing to implementation, and particularly to identify any obstacles to fulfilling their role effectively. The plan sets out ambitious goals for poverty reduction, economic growth, economic transformation and job creation. The private sector has a major role to play in achieving these objectives
